Felipe Correa presents the recent publication of:
Cities X Lines, a New Lens for the Urbanistic Project
Published in 2007, this book is a summary of various research projects developed since 2002 at Graduate School of Design of Harvard University and conducted by Joan Busquets ( Martin Bucksbaum Professor in Practice of Urban Planning and Design at the GSD) and Felipe Correa (Design Critic in Urban Design at the GSD)

Cities X Lines establishes a taxonomy of a new ways of designing the city and the new urban territories at this turn of the century. The resulting taxonomy identifies 10 types of urbanistic projects: Synthetic Gestures, Multiplied Grounds, Tactical Maneuvers, Reconfigured Surfaces, Piecemeal Aggregation, Traditional Views, Recycled Territories, Core Retrofitting, Analog Models, and Speculative Projects. This catalogue is a reflection on the need for and advisability of work on urban and metropolitan space, on the form of the city and the processes of its construction, which may lead to a more rational and creative approach to the work of those designers who are concerned with improving living spaces and the urban context..
